This page presents samples of my work, and is a sample in its own right. There is a bias towards visual media and writing samples, but regardless of the task or medium, I aim for outputs that are simple, stylized and technically precise. Most of these examples are presented as images viewable in your browser (.png or .jpg) or in Portable Document Format (.pdf).

Photographs
This is a sample of the photographs I have taken. Some older pictures were taken with a Minolta X-700 body through prime MD glass. Others were captured using a small Pentax Optio S4 or, more recently, a Canon XTi. For some travelogue photos, try this gallery of my trip to the UK in 1996, this one of my trip to AB and BC in 2004, these two from Wales in 2007-06 (first and second) or these two from England (one for 2007-07, a second for 2007-08). Visiting Ontario's cottage country in 2009, I took a lot of photographs within 50 m of a particular cottage. Here also is a link to the slide-show for my Flickr account.

Print Media and Posters
During the 1997-1998 academic year at Queen's, I was the Assistant Manager (Publishing) of the AMS Publishing & Copy Centre. As well as supporting a small team of other skilled graphic designers, I also had the opportunity to work with a number of clients, and I completed many graphic design and document production orders. Prior to that, I had earned an Editorial Board position at the Queen's Journal for my production work on the newspaper, where I overhauled the document template for the paper and facilited the training of section staff in online layout of the newspaper.
After this exposure to graphic design and document production, I have found that these skills are often still in high demand, and I have had much call to complete design projects, large and small.
